Community Foundation of Osceola County awards ceremony set for January 21
The Community Foundation of Osceola County (CFOC) will award grants to 37 organizations as it celebrates its 15th year with an awards ceremony. The celebration will take place at the Harris Community Center on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. The award recipients, local media, foundation members and the general public are all invited to attend.
For the 2019/2020 grant cycle, 37 new grants were approved by the committee, which has representation from all parts of the county. The grants announced on January 21 total $120,423.74 in funds from the County Endowment Fund Program.
The Community Foundation of Osceola County is committed to improving the quality of life throughout Osceola County by investing in area nonprofits through our grant programs and by providing individuals, families and area businesses who love our communities with a way to give back.
The Community Foundation of Osceola County exists to help concerned individuals mobilize charitable giving to support the betterment of Osceola County communities and organizations. The CFOC is affiliated with the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, a nonprofit, providing financial management, strategic development and educational services to communities, organizations and donors throughout Osceola County.
Grants are available to 501(c)3 organizations and government entities serving Osceola County. Grant selections are made in an effort to create a better quality of life for people in Osceola County. The local governing committee reviews the applications from charitable organizations serving their community.
Since 2007, the Community Foundation of Osceola County has awarded more than a million dollars to local non-profit and community improvement groups for projects all over Osceola County.
