Ashton woman puts 70 years in auxiliary

Photo: NW Iowa ReviewASHTON—It’s been about 70 years since Ashton resident Dorothy Breuer became involved with the American Legion Auxiliary, but she has no plans to step away from the organization any time soon.

The 89-year-old joined the Ashton post of the patriotic women’s service organization in 1950 shortly after marrying her husband, Jerome, who had served overseas during World War II.
