Osceola County Ambulance Service is in need of both EMTs and paramedics.
NCC in Sheldon offers EMT courses, which always start the third Monday in September and run through early April. NCC also offers the Hybrid EMT Course twice a year. The courses start mid-August or early January every year. The Hybrid EMT Course is part on-line and includes five all-day Saturday Skills labs on campus. INFO. Note:If a student paid their course fees, but had to withdraw from an EMT Class in the last 3 years and didn’t get a refund- they can retake the class at no charge. This is a one-time deal that will be valid until the end of the 2020-2021 Academic year. ust be able to provide receipt of payment.
a. Fall Hybrid- Students are doing well, off to a great start.
b. Marcus EMT- Begins Sept. 9th, 2019- Orientation here in Sheldon- Will meet every Monday and Thursday until May in Marcus.
c. Sheldon EMT- Begins Sept. 10th, 2019- Orientation here in Sheldon- Will meet every Monday and Thursday until May in Sheldon.
d. Spring Hybrid already filling up.
3. EMR Course:
a. Hybrid Version- Meet 9 Saturdays in Alvord Iowa. Starts in November
4. Firefighter 1:
a. Rock Rapids- Starts November 4th.
b. Primghar- Starts- Pending Instructor. If you know of one- send them my way!
5. EMS Evaluator:
a. 10/22 6PM
6. CPR Instructor NEW:
a. 10/15-17 6p-9p
7. CPR Instructor Renewal:
a. 10/24- 6p-9p
8. RN Exception Initial Training and CEH:
a. 11/9 and 11/16- Must attend BOTH sessions.- Can only attend 1 if for CEH.
Next Permit to Carry Class: 10/24/19- NCC $49
